“And the kids sleep upstairs.”… Slept. Can’t imagine the final acceptance and agony.

Great movie. However, I don't understand how on the day of a parent's death you can do everyday things like inviting friends over for pizza, going to school the next day, or having sex. If that happened to me, my penis wouldn't even get hard. Can any American explain this to me? It's the part of the movie I liked the least.

For me, Losing child will be far more horryfing and PTSD then losing parents.. Because you essentially lose everything of your hope and future

God watching this made me cry then it got me thinking about the kids in gaza and the soccer field and the 1200 and what the fuck are we doing pushing this kind of pain.

People empathize with the character but never for someone whos going through the same irl. Im broken. Illness, death and and loss over the years have made me like this, yet nobody cares. My friends don't care. Moms dead, dads too sick. Im still a child. I haven't even been in a relationship yet... My friends blame me for depression and grief.

He pauses while talking about trying to remember if he put the screen on the fireplace. He realizes that’s the moment, that was the moment when he could have gone back, when he could have changed everything, the moment he regrets most

This is what gives me vindication for feeling paranoid, whenever i feel even an ounce of doubt if i did or didnt do something i was supposed to i always no matter how small or inconvenient it is go back and make sure that i did what i was supposed to do, because i always think of what will happen if i somehow didn't do it

i come back to this clip every now and again and i hope the gun doesnt jam so hes free. in my mind, if lee can free himself of his pain, i imagine i could as well but the gun jams every time i watch it. and we still have to roll our boulders up the hill again.

wow, there's a Spanish singer who has a song with this melody, one time my aunt sang it in a memorial about my grandma's passing. It really hit me hard to hear it here, i don't know if im ready to watch this movie, but i really want to cause im an actress, and beautiful art always inspires me

Its so heartbreaking because you can see in this scene he wants to be punished in some way. He tells them there was cocaine involved at the party and then pauses, almost as if he’s waiting to be scrutinized by the detectives. He doesn’t understand how everyone around him doesn’t hate him for his mistake

This is how people become drug addicts btw. Not everyone tries drugs because they’re a rich party kid. Some people are experiencing unimaginable pain and want relief either thru death or a substance.

Two things I will NEVER HAVE: a real fireplace, and a pool or any standing water. Literal death traps for kids.

the only thing i hate about this scene is the guy in blue shirt is smiling while they arrest him. such a critical scene and this guy ruined it. I also blame director for not doing another take for this scene.

Haven't seen anyone mention the bit at 3:48. You can see that is the moment he makes the decision. Looks at the gun, then looks at the detectives letting him go... and decides if you won't punish me then I guess I'll just do it myself
